Show my learning - Autumn term

Usually at this time in the term we would invite our families into the academy to come and see all of the children’s wonderful learning. Due to the current restrictions this is not possible at the moment.

However, this will not stop us from showing you all of the exciting things we have been doing this term at Harris Academy Tottenham. Please see the film above. We hope you enjoy!

Autumn update

We will practise reading and comprehension in our reading lessons. We will write for a variety of purposes and pay close attention to our audience. We will focus on writing detailed character and setting descriptions.

In Maths we will be fine-tuning our place value knowledge and apply this to addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. We will develop a range of mental strategies to help us calculate efficiently. We will also be completing regular maths investigations to consolidate our learning.

In History, we will be learning about the Ancient Greeks and explore some myths and legends. This links very well with our English topics. In Geography, we will be learning about earthquakes and volcanoes. In addition, we will look at the affect these natural formations have on people.

In Science, we will be learning about animals including humans and sound.

Our PE lessons will be on Friday and will incorporate aerobic exercises as well as some martial arts movements. Please make sure you come to school on this day in your PE kit.

Our Meet the Teacher session will be held virtually and is available to view on the school website.
