Welcome

It is our pleasure to welcome you to Harris Academy Tottenham, confident that whatever the abilities, talents and needs of your child, we will be able to support, encourage and challenge them to reach their potential.

The decision of where to send your child to school is one of the most important that you make as a parent; thank you for investing your confidence in us.

At Harris Academy Tottenham, we have an unwavering belief in the potential of every pupil.  We truly believe that every child can and will be successful, and should strive for excellence. Our Academy values embody that approach. If children endeavour to work hard, and demonstrate unwavering persistence, then they will gain enjoyment from the process of learning, and excel towards opportunities that will transform their lives.

We want our children to love coming to school; and strive to ensure that their experience here is a positive and enriching one.

An enriching experience

At our Academy, your child will develop their academic scholarship alongside their character; becoming citizens who are a credit to their local community. We provide an extensive extracurricular programme to allow your child to develop as a well-rounded person, ready and prepared to embark upon whichever pathway they desire.  That is only possible through the partnership that exists between families and colleagues and partners at the academy. We are incredibly proud of the close relationships that develop between colleagues, parents, governors and pupils, and indeed they are central to all that we do.

Our curriculum is detailed and relevant, giving pupils a firm foundation in each subject discipline. Learning is fun and challenging; students have a desire to gain knowledge through dedication and commitment to their studies.

High expectations

We were delighted that OFSTED recognised this, grading us ‘Outstanding’ in all categories in June 2017. The inspectors commented that ‘learning is the business of the day’ and that sentiment underpins all that we do. Since then, the school continues to grow and strive for the highest standards. Our brand new facilities allow us to continue expanding our curriculum offer, ensuring students' experiences are both varied and enriching.

We have the highest expectations of our young people. We expect excellent presentation, good manners and respect, and a commitment to learning from every pupil.

As part of the Harris Federation – a non-for-profit charity with over 25 years experience of education in and around London, we subscribe to the notion of excellence and high expectations. Eighty one percent of all of our Academies inspected so far have been graded as Outstanding by Ofsted (compared to 21% nationally) with the rest judged as Good. Ninety five percent of our Secondary Academies have been judged as Outstanding so far. In Primary education, our Academies have been judged to be the top performing group of schools compared to all other local authorities and Academy trusts in England, in 2015, 2016 and 2017 by the highly respected Education Policy Institute.

We hope you enjoy learning a little more about us, and hope you will visit us soon.
