Meals - Primary
At Harris Academy Tottenham we work with Innovate to provide enjoyable, nutritious, and varied school meals for our students.
The menu
The current menu can be downloaded from the bottom of this page.
The menu is updated termly, works on a three-week rotation, and includes a variety of different meals daily. Each day children can choose from a main and alternative option as well as jacket potato or tomato pasta. The salad bar is available for all pupils. Fruit is available for dessert daily as well as cake options.
We will send you a Microsoft form every half term for you to choose your child’s food options. Please do ensure we have your up-to-date email address.
Allergies and dietary requirements
All meals are Halal and we do not serve pork in the Primary academy. There is always a vegetarian option available and dietary requirement, such as a vegan menu, can be provided. Nuts are not included on the menu and all precautions are taken to reduce nut products. However, we cannot guarantee the Academy is nut free.
When preparing over 1,000 meals in the Academy daily it is so important that allergies are identified correctly, and special menus are produced to ensure the safety of our students. Depending on the child’s allergy or dietary requirement there maybe an Allergy Aware menu allocated to the child or a bespoke menu. These will be shared with parents to ensure they are appropriate for the child.
If your child has an allergy, please complete the medical diet menu parent approval form (downloadable from the bottom of this page) and submit it to the school office along with medical evidence confirming your child’s allergy. This can include an Allergy Action plan, doctors’ letter etc. We will then work with our catering provider to produce a suitable menu. In the meantime, your child may only receive an allergy assured school meal to ensure their safety.
Free school meals
For the year 2024-2025, all primary school children who attend state schools in London will receive free school meals for the full academic year, starting in September.
Please do remember, if you are eligible for free school meals, please still apply for this as it also provides extra funding for the school. The extra funding can be spent on additional tuition, enrichment activities, teacher development and targeted support.
