World Book Day - English Week

This week has seen a fantastic celebration of Literacy across our Academy.

In Secondary, we have had Bookmark Making Competitions, A DEAR time quiz for all year groups, A special extended assembly and creative writing workshops taking place for students.

Students in Secondary have also been utilising the reading dens around the Academy as a way of 'getting caught reading' this week!

On Wednesday, we took 30 Year 7 and 8 students to see 'Twelfth Night' at Shakespeare's Globe. A great time was had by all.

On Thursday, colleagues were pleased to dress up as their favourite book characters. Our Primary students also joined in, donning their outfits.

There are further plans for our some shared reading to take place between our Primary and Year 7 students before the end of term.
