Key Dates for Primary Parents

There are several key dates, which have been planned into the Academy calendar to provide children with a range of exciting and engaging learning opportunities. These are:

  • Week beginning 18th September 2023: Friendship Week
  • Week beginning 2nd October 2023: Black History Fortnight
  • Week beginning 13th November 2023 - Anti Bullying Week (Odd Socks Day will take place on Friday 17th November November)
  • Week beginning 20th November 2023: Road Safety Week
  • Week beginning 8th January 2024: Kindness Week
  • Week beginning 5th February 2024: ‘Proud to Be Me’ Week
  • Week beginning 11th March 2024: Science Week
  • Week beginning: 13th May 2024: Walk to School Week (Happy Shoes Day will take place on Friday 17th May)
  • Week beginning 1st July 2024: Sports Week (we hope to hold Sports Day on Tuesday 2nd July)

INSET dates

The Academy will be closed for pupils to allow in-service training for all staff at the Academy. The INSET dates are:

Show My Learning Parties

All parents are invited into classrooms to see and celebrate your child’s work for the half term. Timings are 8.30am – 9am. Please find below a list of dates for our Show My Learning parties:

Academic Review days, 8.30am – 6.30pm

All parents and carers are invited to a meeting three times a year to discuss your child’s progress over the last term and to celebrate their successes. Nearer the time, parents and carers will be asked to complete a short form, indicating your preference for the time slot you would like to attend. Due to the appointments taking place all day, normal lessons will not take place. Children should join their parents/carers for the appointment.
