The Academy continues to work to support students and families to ensure excellent outcomes for our students.
The House System
We believe in providing a personalised, challenging curriculum. Every student has a named member of staff who takes personal responsibility for them and makes sure they are progressing well, academically and socially.
In the Primary phase, this is traditionally the class teacher, who is assisted by the relevant Phase leader.
All students, across Primary and the Secondary phase are placed into a House, which gives students a sense of belonging and rewards them for academic achievement, good attendance and positive contributions to Academy life. Families tend to be in the one house to ensure a sense of continuity across phases.
In the Secondary phase, the Head of House works alongside the form tutor and subject leads within the house to support your child to progress. Details are stated below.
If you would like to raise a concern, it is best to speak to your child's tutor in the first instance. Following that you should contact your child's tutor. If you feel the situation needs attention beyond that, please contact the relevant Assistant Principal.
Head of House: Ed Chandler
Head of House: Melissa Gough
Head of House: Samuel Tailby
Head of House: Sait Kacar
Head of House: Megan Greet
Head of Sixth Form: Emily Barker
The Academy is dedicated to academic rigour and achievement. Therefore, we send home a review at regular points throughout the term to reflect on student progress and endeavour. If you wish to discuss this further, you are welcome to contact the child's subject teacher or indeed tutor, by calling the main reception on 0203 772 4243
We also hold a combination of Academic and Subject Review events across the year, that are carefully planned to reflect the key academic milestones your child will reach in that academic year.
