Beyond the Curriculum

Enrichment opportunities

Our teachers aim to offer a variety of extracurricular activities to provide our children with the opportunity to find their passion and practise their talents.  A timetable of extracurricular activities will be available in September.

By the end of Year 6, we want to ensure all pupils have a broad and balanced range of experiences. We are passionate about providing children with the opportunity to learn through practical and exciting learning opportunities. Trips, visitors and opportunities enhance our curriculum and provide children with further excitement and motivation to learn.

When planning trips, all teachers will carry out an in-depth risk assessment, request permission for parents and provide information at least 2 weeks in advance of the trip taking place.

As well as planned trips, our children will also have the opportunity to take in specific days, such as dress up days, , sports days and competitions.

In addition to day trips, we will plan outdoor and adventurous residential trips, where children will be given the opportunity to stay overnight and take part in a variety of experiences such as team games, abseiling etc.
