House System
The Academy continues to work to support students and families to ensure excellent outcomes for our students.
All students, across Primary and the Secondary phase are placed into a House, which gives students a sense of belonging and rewards them for academic achievement, good attendance and positive contributions to Academy life.
Families tend to be in the one house to ensure a sense of continuity across phases. Every student has a named member of staff who takes personal responsibility for them and makes sure they are progressing well, academically and socially. In the Primary phase, this is traditionally the class teacher, who is assisted by the relevant Phase leader.
In the Secondary phase, the Head of House works alongside the form tutor and subject leads within the house to support your child's progress.
If parents would like to raise a concern, it is best to speak to your child's tutor in the first instance. If you feel the situation needs attention beyond that, please contact the relevant Assistant Principal for your House, listed below.
