Peter Rice Delivers Online Talks to Performing Arts Pupils

Pic 2This week, Peter Rice (pictured), Course Leader for Theatre Sound at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama delivered careers talks to our year 10 and 11 Performing Arts pupils.

Peter's previous roles include Head of Sound at the Young Vic, Senior Sound Technician at the National Theatre, Deputy Head of Sound at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester, and Sound Technician at the Almeida.

The talk gave pupils an insight into the courses available at Central with a focus on backstage roles such as set design, lighting, and sound. Pupils were able to ask questions and receive advice about further education in the arts.

'The talk was very clear and definitely made me consider their University for the future," said David, Year 10. "Their courses are very challenging and exactly what I will be looking for when I start looking at universities in a couple of years' time.'
