Sixth Form Curriculum

In this section you'll find out all about the courses we offer and the entry requirements.

Click HERE to download our course booklet for 2024.

A Level Course Booklet 2024 25 Page 01All students applying to Harris Academy Tottenham must meet our general and subject-specific entry requirements. Further details of general requirements can be found on our Entry requirements page. Read our course booklet to find out about the subject-specific requirements. If there are any changes to entry requirements, these will be communicated ahead of enrolment.

Academic subjects

There are two strands of post sixteen study available at Harris Tottenham Sixth Form. The first is traditional; we’re an academic centre of excellence that ensures our pupils gain the opportunities, support and guidance needed to access the UK’s leading universities.

The A Level courses we offer are highly regarded by Russell Group universities, specialist colleges and by top employers.  We expect students to complete three A-levels or equivalents in your time with us. We follow the linear pathway from Year 12. Harris Academy Tottenham does not offer opportunities to resit GCSE qualifications. For more information, please contact sixthform@harristottenham.org.uk.

Courses Offered (A Levels unless otherwise stated):

  • Applied Science (Extended Certificate)
  • Biology
  • Business Studies (CTEC)
  • Chemistry
  • Computing
  • Economics
  • English Literature
  • EPQ
  • Film Studies
  • Further Mathematics
  • Geography
  • Government and Politics
  • History
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Psychology
  • Religious Studies
  • Philosophy and Ethics
  • Sociology
  • Spanish
  • Sports (CTEC)

Kinetic Football Academy

The second strand in the Sixth Form is the Kinetic Football Academy launched in 2020. Here, students typically take one CTEC qualification, alongside an A-level (receiving a total of three A-level/equivalent qualifications in total) and bespoke football coaching from leading professionals throughout the week. Students are able to select either a vocational only model, a hybrid model, or A-Level only route.

The academy adopts a holistic approach to develop each young person as a ‘whole’, rather than from just a technical or tactical component. Alongside our excellent football provision we deliver a volunteering programme, mentoring scheme, mental health support and employability workshops.

A Level and CTEC Bridging Projects

Please apply to HATO Sixth Form using the online application form. Further information, including an invitation to enrolment, will then be posted to you in the summer term.

To prepare you for your studies in Year 12 at Harris Tottenham Sixth Form, you must review and complete the relevant A Level and CTEC Bridging Projects over the summer break. Click HERE to download a document which has details of all the Bridging Projects for each subject, including links to additional resources.

Content from these bridging tasks will be used in the opening Year 12 Induction Exams in September/October - successful applicants can expect to receive more information on these exams on Enrolment day in August.

If you are still undecided as to which courses you would like to study with us, we recommend you complete the Bridging Projects to give further clarification on course content.

Don't hesitate to contact the Sixth Form Team with any further queries.
